After rebuilding the 2 liter engine on my Spider Europa I installed a new oil pressure sender and did not think much about it. It has been my experience that Fiat oil pressure reads all over the place and this car was no exception. High pressure when cold and dropping as the engine warmed up with the pressure tracking engine RPM. Also, you could be idling and have 2 bar on the gauge, shut the car off and restart to only have 1 bar. This prompted me to go on a Grail Quest to figure out why the oil pressure reading was unstable and inconsistent.
